Love this unique craft project for the budding architect by Sweet Paul
City Lights
Make your own glowing skyline at home.
You need:
Printouts of buildings on craft paper
scissors
exacto
tape
tall votive
tea candle
Start by doing a search on Google for your favorite piece of architecture; it helps to choose a tall building such as Mies van der Rohe's modernist Seagram Building or the legendary Flatiron Building; both New York landmarks. Print on heavy stock craft paper. Start by cutting out your building, remember to leave a flap on each side where you glue them together.
Using an exacto cut out a few windows.
Tape the two flaps together.
Place over a tall votive with a tea candle.
Its important that the votive is almost as tall as the building, for safety.
