Victoria Ghost: La Vita Fantastica di Plastica Trasparente!
We had ourselves a little photo shoot with one of our favorite chairs: the transparent Victoria Ghost Chair designed by Philippe Starck for Kartell. Classic lines and a rounded backrest show the historical origins of this chair, whilst its robust form is made from transparent polycarbonate. Scratch and weather resistant, this comfortable chair offers versatility and a unique design. The Victoria Ghost chair was designed by Philippe Starck for Kartell in Italy. Victoria Ghost is a modern interpretation of classic Louis XV-style chairs. Philippe Starck deliberately designed this chair with a smaller than usual seating area; the seating surface measures only 15" wide. This may be small for people with overly well-endowed behinds, yet, it is perfectly fine for most of us.
The Kartell Victoria Ghost Chair is a chair born of classic Baroque lines whose rounded backrest recalls the shape of antique medallions, whilst the seat is linear and geometric. Made from a single molding of crystal-clear polycarbonate, which has a transparent, 'ghost-like' appearance, hence its name. Polycarbonate is highly durable and easily wipe-cleans. This chair is stable, comfortable, robust, scratch resistant and weather resistant. Once more we find a chair created thanks to technological know-how which Kartell has amassed over the years to create articles which have made the company world renowned. The Victoria Ghost is a chair with great charm and personality which fits elegantly into any style of surrounding. This modern chair is a true modern design classic and it will most certainly compliment any interior.
