Cherner Wood Lacquer Molded Plywood Modern Side Chair - CCP, All White

Cherner White Lacquer Modern Side Chair

Cherner White Lacquer Modern Side Chair

The 1958 molded plywood side chair by Norman Cherner is the companion to the classic Cherner arm chair. The perfect dining chair, it is built to be handed down from generation to generation. The seat is made of laminated plywood of graduated thickness, from 15 plys to 5 plys at the thin edge of the shell. Reissued in exacting detail from the original drawings and molds, the side chair is strong, lightweight and like the original, made entirely in the U.S.A.

The Cherner White Lacquer Side Chair was designed by Norman Cherner and is manufactured by The Cherner Chair Company in the United States of America. The seat of the side chair is made of one piece molded plywood. A beech core lamination with face in veneer of beech. The wood base is made of two piece laminated beech, with face veneer in beech. The seat and the base are lacquered in white to give the flawless white shine to the chair. Lacquer finishes have no wood grain visible. The surface is smooth and without texture and the color is consistently uniform. Flexible but solid back rest makes the side chair comfortable.
