Amazing shot of the Flos Zeppelin Lamp from Stardust which was installed by London based Robinson Electrical at Mr C. Harrogate. Notice how well the lamp matches with the original antique ceiling medallion. In Europe people always mix some modern in traditional houses. In Italy for example you will often find some pieces by Kartell, Flos and Artemide in an old Castello. So be brave and mix some new into the old!
Flos Zeppelin is another brilliant ceiling light fixture designed by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders. Marcel Wanders put a great great of effort in design of this incredibly looking looking chandelier. Zeppelin blends traditional and contemporary design elements into an amazing new chandelier. Zeppelin is made with the same materials of the George Nelson Bubble Lamps and the Achille Castiglioni Taraxacum Lamps. The base skeleton is made of steel and the whole design is covered with a special cocoon-like fabric which gives the effect of silk threads. The cocoon fabric is covered with a special transparent rubber like finish for protection and easy cleaning. At the center of the design, there is a shimmering crystal ball which diffuses the light. The Zeppelin Lamp by Marcel Wanders is only offered in white which goes very well with any décor setting or any furnishing style. The Flos Zeppelin comes with a long steel cable that provides a variation in the height of the Flos Zeppelin. The Flos Zeppelin comes in two models: the first one – Zeppelin 1 - is a single bulb model while the second one is equipped with three lamps inside (Zeppelin 2). The first model is more suitable for a low ceiling or small places while the other model is more suitable for a spaces with tall ceilings that require more light intensity.
